Alina Akbar (b. 1992, Islamabad) is a visual artist who received her BFA with honors from the National College of Arts, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, in 2014. She has participated in residencies based in Morocco and Pakistan, and has widely exhibited locally and internationally. Akbar has assisted in curatorial projects. Her work has been published in Imago Mundi’s Venice Biennale project along with several other publications. Akbar has received her MFA in Studio Arts from Studio Arts College International, Florence, Italy in 2019. She is currently running her own studio in Islamabad and is a visiting faculty for Miniature department at National College of Art, Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
